Arts and Crafts
Most of the native arts and crafts have disappeared in Costa Rica. Little of
the original Indian culture has survived to this age. Since the conquistadores arrived
the country has spent most of its’ time in poverty and as a
consequence only recently, especially when in 1970 the Ministry of Culture,
Youth, and Sports was created, the arts started to bloom again merging
influences of the different cultures that comprise Costa Rica.
